Lead Mechanical Technician

Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and integrity of all mechanical systems within the plant, including compressors, pumps, pressure vessels, piping, and rotating equipment. The role supports safe and efficient operations through effective maintenance strategies, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of mechanical performance.

Job Details

• Maintain and monitor rotating and static equipment; develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs; troubleshoot and resolve mechanical failures; conduct equipment inspections and condition monitoring; support plant commissioning, startup, and shutdown activities; manage spare parts and maintenance planning; ensure equipment reliability and availability targets are met; participate in root cause analysis and reliability improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures and safe maintenance practices; enforce permit-to-work systems; identify and mitigate mechanical hazards; support incident investigations; ensure adherence to mechanical integrity standards and safe operating procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; COREN certification is an added advantage
• Minimum of 6–10 years’ experience in oil and gas or similar industrial facilities, with hands-on experience in rotating equipment and maintenance systems
