Job Summary
Efficient and effective understanding of spare parts, ability to read and understand parts catalogue for different categories of equipment to achieve uncompromised maintenance and equipment reliability aimed at maximizing productivity.
Job Details
- Principle contact and liaison between the maintenance DIVISION and materials department of Spare Parts identification and reorder level.
- Review all planned work request from assigned area and determine validity and accuracy of information and engage the appropriate resources to set a preliminary priority.
- Oversees computerized parts catalog system and maintains a running inventory of regular and special-order parts and supplies.
- Identify and assist to Dispenses parts to service mechanics.
- Identifies optimum sources for replacement parts and assemblies.
- Purchases standard items.
- Receives and inspects incoming shipments for correct quantity and quality of materials.
- Obtains quotes on major expenditures and obtains approval for nonroutine purchases.
- Maintains knowledge of pricing, changes in parts, and technical service bulletins through collaboration with sales and other company staff.
- Reviews work request for accuracy and clarity: clear scope of work, realistic completion date, proper lead times, correct equipment identification, proper authorization, and discuss details with originator of the work order
- Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history and job records database
- Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of technical information on processes, plant and equipment
- Purchase all necessary parts, equipment, services and documentation to perform the maintenance work
- Identifies and secures all parts and material required to complete the work by providing stores a Bill of Material for the work order
- Works with Maintenance leads, to determine resource availability and work to level the work force.
- Improve the mean time to repair by proactively ensuring the required spares are available for the team
Requirements
- HND / B.Sc. Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
- 3 - 10 Years’ experience in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of Heavy Duty Equipment.
