Job Summary
This position has the following responsibilities. Effectively manage all related activities to ensure that assets are kept serviceable and that uptime is at a maximum in line with divisional and company objective. Understand and proactively manage potentials for user-induced damages and mal-operation of assets to the end of preventing them, ensuring that users are properly trained in the operation and maintenance of assets assigned to them
Job Details
Leadership
- Provide the assets Coordinator the details to compute necessary reports.
- Ensure that assets maintenance schedule are compiled to and that assets’ operability status are clearly identified and status pasted on the assets.
- Ensure that all assets under his care have up-to-date statutory documents and are available to parties requiring them.
- Carry out incident investigations involving assets under his care and partake in committees as may be required.
- Develop and implement training schedule for assets users as necessary.
- Develop modalities to continually improve assets availability.
- Partake on the planning and scheduling of the maintenance workloads to optimize use of resources, including personnel, time, tools, and equipment.
- Ensuring technical reference for all Assets/technical issues on the project and providing coaching to assets staff
- Identify and deliver operational cost reduction and cost avoidance initiatives.
- Development and implementation of strategies and plans for assets reliability and optimization support for projects.
- Supervise the planning and scheduling of the Assets workloads to optimize use of resources, including personnel, time, tools, and equipment.
Core/Technical
- Regularly update assets register as it applies to his area of control and submit the report of this weekly.
- Ensure that all assets costs are captured and posted appropriately.
- Carry out reception and issuance processes and related activities to meet target deadlines, coordinating close-out of recommendations.
- Make inputs to pre-acquisition process and implements post-acquisition decisions.
- Provide details to the assets planner needed for invoicing and budgeting.
- Develop measuring tools to evaluate assets optimization and implement to the end of keeping within safe operating conditions.
- Enforce company’s unique assets identification.
- Conduct physical annual verification and inventory of assets.
- Develop and analyse fault matrix with a view to identifying developing trend and recommend remedial actions.
- Carry out analysis of market survey on lease rates and recommend accordingly.
- Model assets full operating life cycle from acquisition to disposal and always measure present status against the model.
- Advise on risk potentials of assets and recommend remedial actions.
- Conduct detailed inspection of construction equipment annually.
- Conduct detailed inspection of vehicles bi-annually.
- Execute an effective predictive and preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled down time of all Assets.
- Ensure zero LTI and Fatality while carrying out activities.
- Make sure that project deadlines are met on all requisition activities
- Manage supplier delivery performance and maintain supplier contracts.
- Undertake periodic measurement of divisional KPIs and initiate actions to re-align the KPIs to the divisional objectives.
Requirements
- HND / B.Sc. Social Science
- Professional membership is an added advantage
- 5 – 10 years’ experience in Maintenance and assets Management
