Job Summary

• Develop environmental-related documents. • Perform and oversee field inspections and monitoring (water, quality, underwater noise etc.). • Implement procedures prescribed by environmental management specifications and construction environmental control procedures.

Job Details

  • Manage Environmental Compliance Programme, and review weekly and monthly Environmental Compliance Monitoring Reports.
  • Monitor the implementation of the environmental management plan in the project EIA
  • Supervises all environmental-related studies initiated by the project 
  • Manage the preparation of environmental monitoring reports required by the Client and/or governmental permits and requirements.
  • To develop an emergency response plan for any environmental incident.
  • Ensure that all construction activities carried out are conducted in strict accordance with the requirements of the EMP recommendations.
  • To identify, report all non-compliance and follow-up actions to close them out in accordance with the project EMP.
  • Conduct environmental management audits and reviews on project sites
  • Ensures that only eco-friendly materials are procured and used in the project.
  • Develop and conduct environmental protection and awareness training for staff at all levels.
  • Identify, document, report and develop corrective actions for environmental incidents.
  • Participate in project audits (both internal and external).
  • Liaise with environmental agencies and attend field visits with client and regulatory agencies.
  • To promote Environmental awareness amongst the workforce and to hold regular site inspections with workers and subcontractors etc. on environmental matters relevant to the project.
  • Any other HSE-related duties that may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Environmental Science or any related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in a similar position in an EPC Oil and Gas company.
  • Certified environmental management system lead auditor.
