Job Summary
• Support Security intelligence monitoring and understand the external security threats levels as well as their impact on operations and pipeline facilities, review the physical security risk assessment, identify and implement mitigating actions. • Assist in implementing and coordinating operational security operations. • Lead the Emergency Response Team in regard to emergency situations which could endanger the security of persons and assets, and submit a comprehensive security reports.
Job Details
Leadership
- Counselling personnel on approach to resolving personal security challenges
- Use of train guards and GSAs to ensure access control
- Assist in providing employee with security education
- Sharing security update with team members
- Explaining security procedures to visitor on the pipeline right of way
- Prompt notification of personnel on black spots and prevailing security situations, in the form of security alert
- Supervise all contract security deployed to the company sites
Core/Technical
- Investigate and prosecute any offender where necessary
- Hinder access to unauthorized persons to both pipeline right of way and residential facilities
- Monitoring movement of staff to sensitive places
- Check visitor’s entry and exit of the company’s premises
- Assist in coordinating of escort of equipment and personnel
- Assist in supervising Armed security personnel when the need arise
- Performed any assignments as may be directed by the project manager.
- Collection of intelligence from host communities, government agencies to determine what constitutes a threat to project operations or any interest and suggest ways to contain such threat
- Determine the relevant GSAs/Local or professional service to neutralize the threat or eliminate the risk
- Track and monitor progress of proposed safety and security plan
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Nigerian Army (Honorary)
- 6 years in security with 3 years as pipeline security supervisor.
