Job Summary

• The Job holder is responsible for the QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other QA/QC documents. • He/She is responsible for the closure of Non-conformance, NCR, and Site Instruction, SI. • The Job holder will work under general direction, applying their skills and expertise to generate solutions that require the development of improved techniques, procedures, and processes. • The Candidate is responsible for planning, conducting, and evaluating approaches to meet project objectives in a timely, cost-effective function.

Job Details

  • Analyze specifications and manuals and provide technical information to implement operating procedures, clarify ambiguities, and solve problems.
  • Specify system components to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Undertake team briefings and inception activities to ensure all aspects of the work are understood by all concerned parties.
  • Attend regular meetings with clients, architects, and consultants, and update all parties on project progress.
  • Organize pipeline foundation, support, and welding activities for 80 km of 30" and 40" pipes.

  • Lead horizontal directional drilling and micro tunneling activities: surveying, excavation, welding, coating, and backfilling.
  • Organize scaffolding activities involving materials, manpower, and site erection.
  • Organize the steel structural activities of delivery, erection, and site modification.
  • Organize above and underground-piping site activities, including painting, wrapping, coating, fabrication, welding, and erection.
  • Prepare for and perform piping hydro testing in accordance with QC specifications.
  • Prepare and manage the erection and alignment of equipment (static and rotary).
  • Review and coordinate work to provide instruction and guidance on technical issues in accordance with the project requirements.
  • Provide technical reports and assist in preparing management reports.
  • Check all project drawings, documentation, calculations, technical evaluations, and manpower estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in regular meetings to identify problems, target dates, issues, and delays in the execution of work to ensure timely project completion.
  • Represent the organization and enhance relationships in dealings with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure all agreements are implemented.
  • Monitoring project expenditure and margin analysis against bid estimates and implementing corrective actions when cost or schedule overruns materialize
  • Prepare, develop, and maintain up-to-date, high-quality procedures, documents, and the method of statement given to the client or main contractor.
  • Prepare PQR (Procedure Qualification for WPS), qualified welders, and prepare welder qualifications and welder ID.
  • Review of associated quality control documentation to ensure that equipment and materials are manufactured in accordance with applicable codes, client and project specifications, and standards.
  • Supervise the field inspection activities of manufacturing site construction, welding, NDT examinations, and pressure testing and prepare daily inspection reports.
  • Identify quality problems or areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain project material certification.
  • Preparation of weld and NDT maps.
  • Preparation of piping test packs
  • Prepare the final QA/QC dossier to submit to the client

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering- Mechanical or related field.
  • A certificate in any of the following is compulsory AT – Acoustic Emission Testing, RT – Radiographic Testing, UT – Ultrasonic Testing, MT – Magnetic Testing, PT – Penetrant Testing, VT – Visual Testing, ET – Eddy Current Testing, LT – Leak Testing.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience working in the Oil and Gas Industry, and having strong knowledge of construction processes and procedures and good working knowledge of QA/QC implementation.
  • Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
