Job Summary

• Responsible for ensuring the implementation and application of Project Quality Plan & Procedures as regards Civil Works, including the Inspection & Test Plans at site. • Responsible for the supervision of all Civil Works at site and shall monitor, review and collect all relevant quality records verifying their adequacy and make sure the records are correctly filled out and archived • Ensure that quality assurance and quality control procedures are followed strictly in all aspects of the project/services • Perform inspection on all project materials before receipt for conformance to specifications. • Marks items for acceptance or rejection, records test results and inspection data, and compares findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards • Responsible for the quality and workmanship of every activity • Reporting to Quality control manager on all quality issues. • Monitoring all activities and materials of construction in accordance with the approved drawings and specifications.

Job Details

  • To ensure that the quality system and plan are fully and effectively implemented by regular surveillance, conducting internal and external audits and performing individual system compliance audit.
  • To Identify and prevent quality related problems. Initiate and provide or recommend corrective actions and ensure implementation. 
  • Complying with and enforcing the requirements of the Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015)
  • Handle project quality inspection & testing activities, complying with the requirements of the project specification and the requirements of the applicable international standards & codes
  • Preparation of a detail QA/QC activities reports on site (as define in the contract) with distribution to QA/QC Coordinator and the Document Controller.
  • Preparation of request for inspections with all necessary attachments.
  • Coordinating with the construction engineers and client inspectors for clearing designated inspections (Hold and Witness Points).
  • Preparing and resolving site work queries with client.
  • Preparing test schedules, frequency of test and sampling related to approved Quality control program
  • Raising non-conformance reports for any violation.
  • Preparing vendors evaluation report on the basis of their quality, delivery, price and response.
  • Marking various types of field changes on drawings. 
  • Preparing daily inspection reports on field activities.
  • Quality field such as: soil testing & compaction prior to concrete pouring for load bearing and non- load bearing foundations.
  • Follow up all quality functions as per approved quality records, inspection typical test plan, check list etc.
  • Preparing weekly and bi-weekly inspection look ahead schedules and Inspection reports.
  • Conduct inspection on all materials received at site and ensure materials to be used confirming to contract plans and specifications.
  • Perform pre-planned periodic and random audits to measure the overall effectiveness of the Quality Assurance program on site.
  • Ensure pre-qualification of Subcontractor in conjunction with QA/QC guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree/HND in Civil Engineering or Science Related Course.
  • Professional Qualifications- COREN & NSE
  • A minimum of TEN (10) years QA/QC working experience in Oil and Gas industry.
