Job Summary

• Assist the Subcontract/Project Manager in the Subcontracting activities of AKK Project on time, on budget and in compliance with contractual requirements • Preparation, administration and coordination of Subcontracting packages on the AKK project • Monitoring and reporting on subcontracting activities while ensuring that team work safely to deliver on key tasks and targets.

Job Details

Leadership

  • To provide leadership and manage processes, category/strategic interfaces, contracts and key stakeholders.

Core/Technical

  • Ensure the coordination of subcontracting activities with engineering, planning and construction team.
  • Validate the budget allocated for the execution of subcontract activities and monitor commitments 
  • Plan the subcontract activities 
  • Elaborate tendering dossier to be subcontracted 
  • Identify the subcontractors that could be compliant, proceed with the pre-selection, participate in qualification and audits 
  • Issue the calls for bids, ensure their follow-up and proceed and / or participate in the clarifications with the concerned departments 
  • Evaluate subcontractors offers, prepare commercial evaluations and participate in the technical ones
  • Negotiate and issue the subcontract as per contract’s requirements, follow its validation and set up
  • Lead the meetings with subcontractors
  • Participate in project progress meetings, collect up-to-date information (progress, schedule and site constraints, ...)
  • Ensure the compliance with the progress invoicing in accordance with the contractual obligations
  • Evaluate the risks of potential additional costs and propose preventive and corrective actions
  • Prepare and issue change orders 
  • Receive, analyse, negotiate and process claims 
  • Ensure the closure of subcontracts

Quality, Health, Safety & Environment

Drive compliance with Occupational Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies, processes, procedures and applicable laws/legal requirements are covered in all Subcontracts

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering or related technical field, management sciences, economics or physical sciences.
  • Preference is for candidates with relevant training and certifications in contract management, project management, cost engineering and commercial management.
  • Minimum eight years of cognate contract & commercial management experience gained from oil & gas, engineering & construction and energy industries. Preference is for candidates with full cycle construction contracts management experience.
